Culinary Kalkan
23rd April, 2015
A former fishing village, Kalkan's main source of income is now tourism, but development has been sympathetic, with great care taken to conserve its unique 'Kalkan' architecture, its lovely beach, and its historic old town.
Wherever you go in Kalkan, you'll find a traditional Turkish welcome. As you wander the old town's narrow streets, you will certainly be offered a glass of tea, but for once you can accept without feeling obliged to buy a kilim. The town also offers an unusually high number of excellent restaurants, many set on roof terraces, with lovely views over Kalkan and the coast.
Korsan Fish Terrace
A superb fish restaurant, with magnificent views from its rooftop
terrace over the bay and islands. Plenty of alternative dishes
available for non-fish eaters; live jazz twice a week. Atatürk

Ottoman and international dishes, and a cool lounge area right on
