Tuscan Affair
Often considered a nation within a nation, Tuscany has its own cultural and linguistic identity.
With cypress alleys, patchwork fields and crumbling castellos, it is a breath-taking region to roam. Its countryside is a never-ending expanse of greenery, as far as the eye can see, with flourishing vineyards and meadows dotted with olive trees.
Its capital, Florence, is a paradise for art lovers, home to many Renaissance masterpieces including Michelangelo's sculpture of David in the Galleria dell'Accademia. What's more, the beautiful medieval town of Siena, enchanting hilltop village of San Gimignano, walled city of Lucca and famous city of Pisa are within the vicinity.
If Italian cuisine was a language, each region has its own dialect. Renowned for its simple, seasonal gastronomy, Tuscan food is bursting with fresh flavour, rich and hearty. It also boasts some of the world's most notable wine regions, such as Chianti.
Tuscany is home to two of our hideaways, Podere Le Sensaie and Il Bosco. These rustic-luxe, restored farmhouses are ideally positioned to explore and immerse yourself in the unique experiences to be had in this pocket of Italy.
