Best of Bali
Bali first came into prominence in the 1980s when it was a sought-after destination for A-list celebrities including Noël Coward and Charlie Chaplin. Decades later, it remains a magnet for creative people from all over the world. Here, we round up some of the island's most exciting festivals this summer.
Ubud Food Festival (5-7 June)
The culinary festival looks to promote the rich heritage of Indonesian cuisine and will feature local and international chefs from across the archipelago.
Bali Arts Festival (13 June - 11 July)
Celebrate alongside Balinese performers and guest ensembles from around the world. There's plenty on offer from dance dramas (Sendratari) and modern theatre to photography workshops and musical performances.
