  • Address: Splitska, 21410, Croatia

Explore the 16th-Century Fort

Located on the northeast of the island surrounded by pine forests, Splitska is a small seaside village with a bay. The village is around 7km from Supetar and has just 200 residents. It has a small fort, which was built in 1577 by Mihajlo Cernic (Cerineo) and was used to defend the island in days gone by. There are a couple of lovely quayside restaurants in Splitska, which serve up delicious fresh fish, and another restaurant, Panorama, located high above the town, serves hearty meat dishes for you to enjoy as you admire the stunning views beyond. This little town also has a patron saint's day, and it is held on the 15th August - another day out to remember!
