Shop in Marbella: Explore Diverse Retail Experiences and Local Gems
A Shopper's Paradise
As you would expect, Marbella is a wonderful place for shopping, with several large shopping complexes, as well as hypermarkets, specialty food shops, designer boutiques, interior decor stores and much, much more. Unless you are in a hurry, the best way to explore Marbella's shops is by simply strolling through the streets. If you're looking for something in particular, ask the Local Concierge to recommend stores to visit. The town of Ubrique (94km) is famous for its leather goods. El Corte Ingles is a big department store, similar to John Lewis: It's in Algeciras, which is a 20 minute drive from Sotogrande. This store sells Spanish designer clothes, leather goods and beautiful items for the house, garden and kitchen. It has parking, a cafeteria for coffee and snacks, and also a very good supermarket. Vinoteca, in Sotogrande, is definitely worth a visit. It's a specialist wine shop where they can give you a lot of information about the grapes and the area where the wine comes from.
