Grab a pair of binoculars and a notepad before taking to one of Mauritius' nature trails in search of the island's feathered fauna. A conservation hub, the island has had several avian breeding success stories and many rare birds can be seen including but not limited to pink pigeons, echo parakeets, Mauritius kestrels, Mauritius olive white-eyes, boobies and tropicbirds.
