A Guided Hike Through Jungles, Villages, and Temples

Embark on a 3-4 hour hike which will take you past and through rice paddies, ancient tombs, hermits' caves, rural villages, untouched jungles, plantations and sacred water temples, learning about Balinese culture, traditions and nature along the way. This is a must for anyone who wants to see Bali outside of the tourist-centric resorts and an enlightening experience for people of all ages. Rather than passively viewing local life, you'll be asked to immerse yourself in it: Pay your respects at the tomb of Bali's 11th century Queen Mahendradatta, participate in a priestess' holy water ceremony, talk to farmers and visit a local family. After the tour, you'll be rewarded with a Balinese feast of smoked duck and/or chicken at a local restaurant (vegetarians will be glad to know that they'll be catered to as well!). For those who want to see another dimension of Bali, this is a must. You will be picked up from your home.
