Hike Through Phuket's Untouched Forest

One of the last significant virgin forests in Phuket, this protected space is perfect for those who want to see the natural side of the island. It's perfect for hikers with lots of excellent walking paths and wildlife lovers can get the chance to try their hand at spotting wild boar, slow lorises, porcupines, deer, gibbons, monitor lizards, flying foxes and many species of birds. Near the Bang Pae waterfall in the east side of the park is the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project's base, where dedicated volunteers work to release gibbons confiscated from illegal businesses. Visitors can have the chance to learn about the remarkable primates, view gibbons who can no longer be released and go on free tours. It's a highly informative experience, especially for children.
