Muro: Where Turquoise Sands Meet Timeless Traditions

Relax on Pristine Beaches

Muro is blessed with long stretches of sand kissed turquoise waters, with some completely unspoilt areas yet in the village - located inland - you can soak up the calmness, tranquillity and tradition. In the oldest district El Comtat in the street of carrer Major, a 17th century home houses the Museum Ethnologic with exhibitions rooms dedicated to traditional tools, trades and ceramics. Numerous cycling tourists and cyclists come to Muro, drawn by extensive network of paths and B roads which run through a landscape set between the mountains and the sea. In winter like many villages in Mallorca, Muro celebrates fiestas de Sant Antoni, when the saint and the devil come together amidst bonfires and spontaneous poetry combats. A magical night in the heart of the winter.
