The water is particularly clear around Ibiza and there are some fascinating dive sites, including the cargo ferry Don Pedro which sunk near Ibiza port in 2007. There are many excellent and qualified diving schools located around the island offering courses from Beginner up to Advanced levels. In general, Ibiza is an excellent dive site rich with Posidonia meadows that support a myriad of aquatic creatures including octopuses, barracuda and eels.
