Walk Historic Streets and Visit Al Fahidi Fort

It's still possible to catch a glimpse of historic Dubai. Head for the narrow lanes of Bastakiah and stroll round the surprisingly low-tech museum in Al Fahidi Fort, take an Abra boat ride along the Dubai Creek and visit the spice & gold souks.
