Ganga Talao: A Sacred Lake in Mauritius

On the east side of the Black River Gorges National Park, Ganga Talao is a natural lake in the crater of an extinct volcano. It's a sacred site for Hindus, who believe it is connected to the Ganges River in India. It is also surrounded by religious statues including a magnificent 33m statue of Lord Shiva.
