Morzine, situated close the Swiss border, is a small Alpine town linked to neighbouring Avoriaz, Les Gets and the Portes du Soleil ski area. Morzine is renowned as a haven for winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding but is also a popular location for cyclists, trail runners and hikers in the summer months. The skiing on offer is as varied as can be, with easy slopes for beginners and children, and other slopes suitable for all the various levels of expertise and confidence. In summer, the same lifts can be used to access sports such as parapenting, climbing, hill walking and much more. If you are visiting in summer it is worth noting that there are several excellent golf courses within reach of the village, plus a number of children's clubs with a variety of activities.
