Phang Nga Bay: Nature’s Masterpiece in Thailand

  • Address: Phang Nga, Thailand

Thailand's Breathtaking Natural Wonder

Phang Nga Bay is a 400 km² bay in the Andaman Sea between the island of Phuket and the mainland of the Malay peninsula of southern Thailand. Over 80% of the park is covered by the Andaman Sea and consists of over 40 islands. The limestone cliffs that emerge out of the emerald green water are the most distinctive feature of Phang Nga Bay. Some 10,000 years ago, when sea levels were lower, one could walk from Phuket to Krabi. Ko Tapu (also known as James Bond Island) and Ko Pannyi are just two of the most popular attractions in this bay. The best way to enjoy the spectacular scenery they offer is to go on one of the many boat trips organised in the area. Alternatively, check with your Personal Concierge if a chartered seaplane is available to enjoy the stunning bird's eye view of the islands.
