Golden Sands, Clear Waters, and Adventures

Kata Beach is in fact not one beach but two that are separated by a headland at the south end of Kata Yai Beach and the northern end of Kata Noi Beach. The beach is a strip of golden sand and is one of the most popular beaches in Phuket with a perfect combination of beauty, useful facilities and a variety of activities. Often busy but never crowded, this beach is perfect in many ways. Later in the year as the waters turn calm, Kata bay becomes populated with over a hundred beautiful yachts arriving from all over the region, some even from other parts of the world, to compete in December's King's Cup Regatta, Asia's premier sailing event.
