Situated between the ocean and the mountain in Bettys Bay, in the heart of the Cape fynbos, you will find the beautiful and secluded Harold Porter Botanical Gardens which contain collections of plants which are used for display, scientific research and education. They are home to over 90 species of birds including the Cape Sugarbird, the Orange Breasted Sunbird and Protea seed eater. The collection of animals include snakes, baboons and mongoose. Self-guided and organised tours are available, as well as picnic areas to give you time to relax and soak up your surroundings.
