Where Film Magic Meets Moroccan Tradition
The city of Ouarzazate (pronounced War-za-zat) is strategically located at a crossroads that joins the north to the south, and the east to the west. It is home to the largest 'movie studio' in the world, where several movies were shot including Gladiator, Cleopatra, Alexander and Kingdom of Heaven. Apart from being known as the 'Moroccan Hollywood', the city is also known for its different cultures, traditions and historical importance.
