Château Grimaldi: Picasso's Creative Haven

Artistic Legacy in Antibes

The Château Grimaldi became the 'Picasso Museum' on 27 December 1966. Picasso stayed there from mid-September to mid-November 1946, and produced a great deal of work. He gave 22 paintings and 44 drawings that he did there to Antibes council. Since 1952, donations, including those of Jacqueline Picasso in 1990, and purchases have significantly enhanced the collection of work at the Picasso Museum. Open Tuesday to Sunday 10.00 - 12.00 & 14.00 - 18.00
