Nice, with its wonderful beaches, diverse shopping, splendid dining, architecture and cultural heritage, is considered by many to be the capital of the French Riviera. It's a very multi-cultural and cosmopolitan city, and it's not hard to see why it attracts so many people from around the world. Explore Old Nice's bustling narrow lanes which are great for shopping and are brimming with wonderful restaurants and patisseries. Wander through the lanes, soak up the atmosphere and stop for a coffee or a traditional dish at one of the many cafés. In Nice, you can rent bikes all over the place using the Velo-Bleu system. These are simple bikes located around the town which you can hire and drop off in hundreds of locations around the town. There are also fifteen private beaches in Nice, as well as numerous public beaches.
