Antibes: Artistic Charm and Coastal Views
Courgette Flowers and Gateau des Rois
A walled coastal town on the Riviera, featuring stunning sea views. Pablo Picasso stayed in the seaside town for six months and many of his paintings including L'Ere du Renouveau reflect the vibrant and light atmosphere of Antibes. Find a local restaurant selling courgette flowers (a local favourite), preferably with outdoor seating, and marvel at the sleek white boats gliding through the jewel-like blue waters near the coast. If you're lucky enough to come by in January, you absolutely must stop by a bakery to pick up a gateau des rois- a glazed brioche cake usually filled with frangipane.
