A Peaceful Escape

Bang Kao Beach is the first pier on Koh Samui, Surat Thani and although short, like Baan Thale, boasts white powdered sand with captivating surroundings. From the beach you can take a fishing boat to Tan and Mudsum Islands. The beach is about 2km in length with soft, fine sand making it ideal for a range of beach activities and games with the family. It's advisable to stay near the palm trees for shade, as it tends to get very hot in the afternoon, with some people preferring to enjoy the sand after 5pm when the temperature drops slightly. The beach remains secluded, leaving the sands and sea free to enjoy. The water is warm for the large majority of the year, and like everywhere on Koh Samui are clear making it great for a swim.
