There are 2 main centres located on Koh Samui. From November to March it is in the Hua Thanon sub district (southeast part of the island), inside the Samui Orchid Resort-Samui Aquarium. From May to October it is in the Nathon sub district (northwest part of the island). Teaching from the Grand Seaview Beach Resort located in Nathon town near the pier next to the Sunset Restaurant, the conditions are very similar in both locations. For beginners, there are shallow sandy bays with outlying reefs, which protect the inner bay and keep the water flat. For intermediate kite surfers, the reef waves will keep you busy, as will the flat water in the bays either side of the teaching lagoon. You will usually only share this beach with other kite boarders.
